Presale Inspection

Prior to the sale of anyresidential property in the City, an exterior inspection of the property must be performed by Zoning. During the inspection, a Zoning official will verify that the property is compliant with the City Zoning and Property Maintenance Codes and to insure that the proper permits have been obtained for any structures built on that property.

Cost of the inspection is $40 for single-family residences or $20 per unit for multi-family dwellings. If the property is found to be in violation of any City Code, the violation must correct prior to sale or the responsibility for correction may be transferred to the buyer by signing a Transfer of Responsibility ($25 fee).
