Maintenance Technician

The City of Huber Heights is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician within the Public Works Division in order to establish an eligibility list for hiring. This position performs construction, installation, maintenance and repair duties as assigned within a specific area to include streets/storm, water/sewer, or parks.  This position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D.; previous experience and training in construction, maintenance and repair of public streets and roadways, or a combination of education, training and experience; must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver License and must obtain a Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL) within six months of hiring.  The selection process will include applicant screening, oral interview on a date to be determined, extensive background investigation, physical and drug screening.  Starting hourly wage rate is $20.05.  Qualified individuals interested in this position should submit an application and resume to the City of Huber Heights, Human Resources Department, 6131 Taylorsville Road, Huber Heights, OH 45424, by 5:00 p.m., March 17, 2017. Rose Music Center Concessions Seasonal Employee

Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Huber Heights is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Code Enforcement Officer. Responsibilities include property maintenance code inspection and enforcement for compliance with zoning ordinances and regulations; investigate complaints; issue violation notices and conduct follow-up inspections; prepare documentation in response to complaints and inquires.  Minimum qualifications: completion of secondary education and two year’s experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  The selection process will include screening of applicants and oral interviews for those considered.  Successful candidate will submit to an extensive background investigation, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.  Hourly rate range is $13.92 to $17.41 DOQ.

Tax Technician

The City of Huber Heights has extended the search for qualified applicants for the position of Tax Technician. This position performs general ledger accounting and reporting, reviewing and answering general questions involving city income tax.  Responsibilities include reviewing and assisting taxpayers with preparation of tax returns and payments; prepare correspondence to taxpayers regarding tax returns, assessments, and delinquency notices.  The selection process includes screening of applicants, and applicants considered to continue in process will undergo oral interviews.  Successful candidate will submit to an extensive background investigation, pre-employment drug screen and physical.  This position requires a High School Diploma or GED, and three years of accounting and computer experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior experience within a municipal tax office preferred.  Salary Range is $30,542 to $55,566 DOQ.

Seasonal Laborer-Public Works Division

The City of Huber Heights is seeking qualified applicants for Seasonal Laborer within the Public Works Division.
