The City of Huber Heights has numerous opportunities for residents wishing to serve their community on a volunteer basis. Various boards and commissions are authorized by the City Charter or City Council to oversee city activities. These boards and commissions are filled with volunteers who dedicate their time for the betterment of the community. The currently active boards and commissions are:
- Arts and Beautification Commission
- Board of Zoning Appeals
- City Planning Commission
- Citizen Water and Sewer Advisory Board
- Ordinance Review Commission
- Parks and Recreation Board
- Personnel Appeals Board
- Property Maintenance Review Board
- Public Records Commission
- Senior Advisory Board
- Tax Appeals Board
The Adopt-a-Park program is an excellent opportunity for local organizations and groups to help keep Huber Heights Parks beautiful. The City owns and maintains over a dozen city parks and can always use extra help with landscaping, painting and other minor maintenance projects throughout the year.
