The City of Huber Heights and Republic Services have agreed to a new contract for trash hauling effective July 1, 2021. Bills have been sent and do not all reflect the agreed upon rates.
We are working with Republic Services to get the issue resolved and appreciate your patience as we do so.
UPDATE (6/23/21) Following the discussion during last night’s Council work session, Mayor Gore and City staff met early today with Republic Services regarding this issue. We are expecting a proposed resolution by the end of this week. Once received, the City will review the proposal and provide an update the week of June 28. Thank you for your continued patience.
UPDATE (6/25/21) Anyone who chooses to hold their payment for service until they are provided a more detailed explanation from Republic Services regarding their recent bill with the new contract rates will not be charged any penalties or late fees. If you are on an auto pay plan and your bill is found to be in error, credit will be issued to your account if you were overcharged. This excludes those with any previous late fees or those in default of their payment/contract agreement with Republic Services prior to July 1. All questions should be directed to Republic Services at (800) 543-1339.
