The City of Huber Heights has an ordinance that requires a single trash hauler for all residential homes.
The new contract (2021-2026) has been finalized and any confusion from previous bills has now been corrected in the new contract.
The standard monthly rate through June 30, 2022, is $14.54, or $43.62 per quarter. The first trash container provided by Republic Services is $1 per month, each additional is $3 per month.
Residents 65 years and older are eligible for a 10% discount off the base rate and need only to contact Republic Services to receive the discount. There is no charge for the recycling containers.
Monthly service rates, including trash containers, does increase each year under the contract but still remains comparable to other area communities.
