Energy Aggregation Program 2022

download

Since December 2017, the City of Huber Heights has provided an electric aggregation program to eligible residents and small businesses as a competitive alternative to AES Ohio’s (formerly DP&L) Standard Offer Rate (SOR).

In October, 2021, the City worked closely with their energy consultant, Energy Alliances, to evaluate options for renewing the program beyond December 2021. Due to significant increases in energy prices, Energy Alliances recommended to Council to not lock into any prices at that time and to have all accounts on the program go back to AES Ohio’s SOR starting with their January, 2022 meter read date.

UPDATE 06/30/22:

City Council held a special meeting on 6/29/22 which can be viewed by clicking here.

Eligible residents and businesses who haven't locked into a contract with an energy supplier OR do not opt out will receive the rate of $0.0859/kWh through the City's electric aggregation program through Energy Harbor beginning with the September 2022 meter reading (October bill) through September 2025 (September bill). Residents will receive a letter with details on the program, how to opt out, and a FAQ sheet in the coming days. Once the City has this information we will also post it here and on social media outlets. The phone number for Energy Harbor is: 1-866-636-3749.

The agreement between The City of Huber Heights and Energy Harbor can be found here at https://public.destinyhosted.com/huberdocs/2022/CC/20220629_4468/8503_Energy_Aggregation_-_Exhibit_A_-_Amended.pdf

UPDATE 7/20/22:
