The City of Huber Heights, Culture and Diversity Citizen Action Commission (HHCDCAC) will host an Educational Forum, Pathways to Overcoming Health/Wealth Barriers within Montgomery County and Surrounding Areas, Thursday, June 22, 6-8 p.m. This event is free, open to the public, and will be held at the Huber Heights Community Center, located at 4301 Powell Road, Huber Heights, Ohio, 45424.
Special guest panelists will discuss health obstacles relating to food insecurity and nutrition disparities and financial obstacles relating to budgeting, saving, and building wealth that many face within the Huber Heights/Montgomery County area.
Panelists include:
Dr. Brandy Phipps, a Central State University Department of Agricultural and Life Science faculty member; Lee Lauren Truesdale, Chief Development Officer at The Foodbank, Inc., the Miami Valley’s largest hunger relief network; and Roger Rucker, an Investment Advisor Representative.
