On September 6, 2023, The Old Troy Pike Widening Project is scheduled to begin. Starting in front of Huntington Bank, on the east side of Old Troy Pike (northbound State Route 202) and continuing to the I70 highway ramp (eastbound). This also includes both sides of Merily Way. The project will take approximately one year to complete.
The first step in the project is to revise the traffic lanes to accommodate the widening. Two lanes of traffic are planned to be maintained. The work will then progress to widening the pavement with new asphalt, curb, sidewalk, and storm sewer. A new mast arm traffic signal and new crosswalks will also be installed at that intersection.
