[ARCHIVED] City of Huber Heights Announces Upcoming Coming Culture & Diversity Community Planning Workshop

City of Huber Heights Announces Development of a Citywide Culture & Diversity Plan and Upcoming Community Planning Workshop

Huber Heights, OH – March 7, 2025 – The City of Huber Heights is excited to announce that they are in the process of developing a Culture & Diversity Plan, an initiative designed to foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all residents. As part of this effort, the city invites community members to participate in a Community Planning Workshop on April 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Huber Heights Senior Center (7301 Shull Rd, Dayton, OH 45424)Interested participants are asked to register in advance at tinyurl.com/HHCommunityWorkshop.

This initiative builds upon the work of the Huber Heights Culture and Diversity Citizens Action Commission, which was established in June 2020 to promote equal opportunity and address challenges faced by underrepresented members of the community. The Commission advises the City Council by providing recommendations on policies and programs aimed at enhancing cultural awareness, fostering inclusion, and reducing civil rights conflicts.

In partnership with RAMA Consulting, the city has already engaged residents through surveys and listening sessions to gather input that will help shape the Culture & Diversity PlanThe plan will provide a framework the city can utilize to address challenges that some residents may face when navigating the community. The goal of this work is to ensure that all Huber Heights residents have equitable access to opportunities and resources.

The feedback collected during the Community Planning Workshop will play a vital role in shaping the final plan, which will guide city leaders in setting priorities, developing policies, and creating opportunities for growth and improvement.

The City of Huber Heights encourages all residents to attend this important event and contribute their perspectives. Community participation is essential in developing actionable solutions that will make Huber Heights a more welcoming and prosperous place for all.
