[ARCHIVED] * POSSIBLE SCAM ALERT *

July 9, 2018 - We have been notified by a resident that an individual was going door to door over the weekend claiming to be a representative of AEP Energy, our electric aggregation company.  The individual asked to see the resident's electric bill to obtain the account information. The City Engineer spoke with our AEP Representative and verified they are not sending anyone door to door.  Residents should not supply account statements of any type to these or any other solicitors.  Residents may contact the Huber Heights Police Division at 937-233-2080 and ask that an officer come to the area to attempt to make contact with door-to-door solicitors.

Police officers did make contact with an individual this morning who said he is with APGE energy and provided a phone number that was not valid.
