Volunteer Opportunities
The City of Huber Heights has numerous opportunities for residents wishing to serve their community on a volunteer basis.

Farmers Market at the Heights
The Farmers Market at the Heights operates May - October and provides volunteers an opportunity to directly interact with the community. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide support by:
- Greeting and counting visitors at welcome tent
- Providing breaks and water for vendors
- Assist in setup and tear down
- Planning or assisting in any special events during the market
Event Volunteers
The City plans events and festivals throughout the year and volunteers provide essential support for them to run smoothly. Volunteers have the opportunity to:
- Serve on a task force for planning and day of logistics
- Greet and count visitors
- Assist with parking
- Assist in setup and tear down
- Providing breaks for vendors or entertainment acts
Adopt-a-Park
The Adopt-a-Park program is an excellent opportunity for local organizations and groups to help keep Huber Heights Parks beautiful. The City owns and maintains over a dozen city parks and can always use extra help with landscaping, painting and other minor maintenance projects throughout the year.
Boards & Commissions Volunteer Members
Various boards and commissions are authorized by the City Charter or City Council to oversee city activities. These boards and commissions are filled with volunteers who dedicate their time for the betterment of the community. The board and commission volunteer opportunities are available when there is a vacancy. Volunteers must apply for the opening, go through an interview, and then are appointed by City Council. The currently active boards and commissions are:
- Arts and Beautification Commission
- Board of Zoning Appeals
- City Planning Commission
- Citizen Water and Sewer Advisory Board
- Ordinance Review Commission
- Parks and Recreation Board
- Personnel Appeals Board
- Property Maintenance Review Board
- Public Records Commission
- Senior Advisory Board
- Tax Appeals Board
