Officers assigned to the investigative section investigate crimes that are felonies, require extensive follow up, or require specialized investigative training. Currently, the Investigative Section consists of seven detectives.
Sergeant Dorian Ringer is the section supervisor and is responsible for the daily operation of the unit. This section is under the command of Lieutenant Brian Carr. Lt. Carr is also the section commander of the Public Affairs Unit which includes crime prevention and school resource officers, and Special Events.
